MonaVie is a company that markets a functional health beverage made principally from the acai berry fruit.  Some call it snake oil while others call it the miracle juice. In this article, we will be reviewing whether or not the compensation plan is a scam.

Is The Business Model A Scam?

Monavie is part of the network marketing industry or MLM which stands for multilevel marketing.  Each independent distributor is encouraged to recruit others to promote the products.  By doing this the distributors create leverage in their business.  To qualify to earn off of other people’s efforts you must recruit two people, one on your left team and one on your right team.  These people must be on autoship like yourself of at least one case of juice per month. When you’re binary network begins to grow you accumulate points. Once you have points or BV on both your right and left legs you will be eligible to receive a team commission

The hybrid binary compensation plan Monavie employs is becoming more and more popular in the network marketing industry and is not a scam.  It pays out a commissionable 50% to the distributor force on all wholesale products sold. The team bonus is one of eight ways you can get paid.  It is paid based on 10% of the lower legs volume.  Along with team commissions, Monavie offers retail commissions, a bulk order bonus, executive check match bonuses, several leadership pools, a first order bonus, a star maker bonus, and the opportunity to earn off of multiple business centers.

Here is an example of team commissions and the residual income that can be generated from this method of compensation.  Each wholesale case of Monavie juice runs about $100 plus shipping and handling. To generate an income of $500 via team commissions, you will need 5000 points minimum on both your left and right legs and you will earn 10% of your lower legs volume only. So if you had 12,000 in volume on your left leg and 5000 in volume on your right leg, because your right leg has lower volume of 5000 you will earn 10% of the right leg which happens to be $500.  In this example if everyone purchased one case of juice you would have to have a minimum of 100 people on your team to earn $500 in team commissions.

In conclusion, the Monavie comp plan is a competitive binary compensation plan for the network marketing industry.  It is not a scam, however to only earn $500 on $10,000 or more in team sales is a very small percentage in my opinion.  I have seen other companies pay as much as $4000 instantly on sales of $10,000 which is obviously a substantial difference.  While I’m not big on the pay plan, I do think Monavie offers some quality products and recommend people check them out.
